I'm a research scientist in the Environment Business unit at CSIRO, Black Mountain. My work is mainly focussed on insect microbiomes, currently mostly working on ways to engineer the black soldier fly microbiome for better waste recycling. Before moving to Australia, I've done research on wild bee ecology in Switzerland, the USA and the UK. I've got a broad interest in natural history and like to go out exploring my local environment in my free time.

I am also a founding member of Invertebrates Australia (https://invertebratesaustralia.org/) where I am working on our citizen science project to record Christmas Beetles across Australia (https://invertebratesaustralia.org/christmasbeetles). We use iNaturalist at the moment for recording (https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/christmas-beetle-count), but I'll try to help here as well with scarab beetle observations.
