User's notes

Brush tail phascogale scurried across our balcony, not too shy when it noticed us sitting in our deck chairs, glanced at us then continued on its way, wasn’t deterred when I stood up to go inside to bring our son out to have a look at it too! We were so caught up in the moment that we unfortunately didn’t get any photos or videos. We feel very lucky to have had this experience and hope he/she returns soon! This is the first time in over 20yrs being here that we have seen a phascogale, we see possums frequently, this was very special. We live next to Caddadup Nature Reserve, but given the amount of land that has been cleared for housing developments over the last few years and big drop in kangaroo numbers, we hope what is left of the bush is saved and the phascogale’s maintain a home!
