NatureMapr now receives more records in NSW than ACT

Since 1 Jan 2025, NatureMapr 44% of all sightings uploaded were NSW based, while 43% were from the ACT.

The remaining 13% were from other states, with VIC coming in third at 5%.

Strictly speaking, 67% of all sightings were still recorded within the "Canberra & Southern Tablelands" region (which contains both ACT and NSW jurisdictions).

This strong take up across NSW is due to a combination of organic growth and our valued NSW based partnerships with the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust and NSW Government Save Our Species who are deploying NatureMapr based projects.

We expect these numbers to continue to shift, with NSW expected to reach up to 50% and ACT expected to dip to 40% as NatureMapr expands nationally.

Interesting data Aaron. What can those of us outside Canberra & Southern Tablelands do to help build interest in our geographical areas?
