Canberra Nature Map has been incredibly fortunate to attract significant financial support this and next financial year from the ACT Government's Connecting Nature, Connecting People project. You can read more about the project here and I would encourage everybody to do so as it is kicking some very important goals across the ACT.
This project will boost Canberra Nature Map's capacity to capture citizen science and integrate knowledge of biodiversity and landscape ecology into community and Government decision making across the ACT.
This support has created an awesome opportunity for the right person to join our team building and expanding the thriving citizen science platform.
Paid part time position with flexible working arrangements (1 Jul 2023 onwards)
A junior or graduate level software developer with a passion for the environment.
If you get a buzz out of the power of citizen science and all it can achieve, then we want to hear from you for an informal chat.
We are looking for someone to not only enhance the platform, but to help support it working with our passionate ACT community of citizen scientists.
The position will lead to bigger and better things for the right candidate based on performance.
While tertiary qualifications in computer science, software engineering or IT will be well regarded, they are not necessary.
Your positive attitude and willingless to do great work is of much more importance.
